Welcome to my practice. My name is Theodora Bravis and I am a specialist prosthodontist with a passion for oral and general health. I qualified from Guy’s King’s and St Thomas, London which gave me a solid foundation in being the best dentist that I can be. After qualifying from dental school and after three long years of exams and another four years of specialist training in all aspects of fixed and removable prosthodontics, I achieved specialist status more than ten years ago. My specialty allows me to treat anything from the simplest, to most complicated dental cases. I specialise in replacing missing teeth whether this is with implants, crowns and bridges or dentures. I also specialise in tooth wear and tooth surface loss either via acid erosion or tooth grinding and in cosmetic dentistry, having had specialist training to treat full mouth rehabilitation cases. Additionally, I developed a passion for dentures as I saw what miracles can be done when patients, who suffer with tooth loss, are given their smile and chewing ability back. Loss of teeth can lead to a lot of problems including loss of biting function, speech problems and even aging as teeth support our facial muscles. I am also an expert in occlusion (how teeth meet together when biting) and that made it easier for me to train and become certified in the provision of Invisalign in order to straighten patients’ teeth. My passion for health and aesthetics led me to train in anti-aging and skin treatments, to not only help people reverse the aging process, but also help people with skin issues such as acne, hyperpigmentation and rosacea (to go to skin page). Being a perfectionist, this makes me work extremely hard to deliver excellent results for each and every patient and I always keep my skills and knowledge up to date.
Before founding Thames Dental & Facial Care, I spent seven years practising dentistry in the heart of Central London, having my own clinic in Harley Street where I was accepting referrals for implants and dentures but also treating my own patients. Having small children and trying to manage my clinical work and home life, I decided to move nearer home and acquired and transformed Thames Dental Care into a modern, forward-thinking practice, to match the beautiful and friendly area of Thames Ditton. This was probably the best decision of my life. I am not only closer to my family but I feel extremely lucky because I get to meet and treat some of the nicest people I have even met in my long dental career.
If you are in based Thames Ditton or any of the surrounding areas please do come in and meet us.

Hello, my name is Panayiotis, better known as Pano, and I am the Periodontist at Thames Dental & Facial Care. As a Periodontist (registered specialist in gum disease diagnosis and treatment), you will usually see me help you navigate through the trials and tribulations of gum health, and to treat any gum related issues you may have.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Guys, Kings and St Thomas’s Dental Institute, London in 2012. Having completed my vocational training in West Sussex shortly after, I was awarded Membership with the Royal College of Surgeons (MJDF RCS). Following this, I decided to take the role of a Senior House Officer in the Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery Department at the Royal London Hospital and Whipps Cross Hospital, where I assisted and gained insight into complex surgical procedures and medical and dental emergencies. Being a major trauma centre for London, I was fortunate to experience working on-call in A&E and hospital wards, as well as in clinics and operating theatres.
My career then led me to have an opportunity to work in private practice in Singapore. Having spent time working here and abroad in general private practice I was able to provide a wide range of general and cosmetic treatments as well as minor oral surgery. It was at that time that I developed an interest in periodontics. In 2016, I returned to London and embarked on a Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in Periodontology at the Royal London Dental Institute. Following this three-year postgraduate specialist training programme, I also passed the Speciality Membership in Periodontics exam by the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, and can be found on the UK Specialist register for periodontics. I regularly attend regional and international conferences and am a member of the British Society of Periodontology.
At Thames Dental & Facial Care, I see patients for treatment of periodontal diseases and gum related conditions. My goal is to provide high standards of dental care and to help stabilise gum disease, in order to prevent the premature loss of teeth in susceptible patients and ensure they can confidently take charge of their oral health. My main interests lie in minimally invasive techniques and bone regenerative procedures, as well as periodontal ‘plastic surgery’. Modern and emerging periodontal techniques can now allow us to correct a variety of cosmetic gum conditions, such as asymmetrical or high gum lines and sensitive or unsightly gum recession. Theodora and I are also fortunately able to take on multidisciplinary cases that require Prosthodontic, as well as Periodontic treatment, at Thames Dental and Facial Care.
Besides private practice, I am currently a Clinical Research Fellow at the Centre of Oral and Clinical Research at the Royal London Dental Institute. As part of a multidisciplinary team, I am involved in ongoing periodontal research studies.
Outside of work, I am a keen traveller and photographer and enjoy exploring different parts of the world, different cuisines, and dabble in film photography.
