Good dental habits start from a very young age and help kids grow into adults with healthy teeth and a beautiful smile. At Thames Dental Care, we provide dentistry for the whole family and we encourage patients to bring children with them from a very young age in order to get them used to the dental environment as early as possible. We look forward to developing a caring relationship with the children and getting them used to us. This will make it very easy for them to come in and sit in our dental chair as time goes by.
By the time your child is 2.5 to 3 years old all their baby teeth will have come through in their mouth. We will be happy to examine their teeth and give you advice on how to care for their teeth for the time that they are little and cannot brush their teeth on their own. By the age of six, adult teeth start to come through slowly and they continue to come through until the age of about thirteen (excluding wisdom teeth). The adult teeth are permanent teeth and caring for them is very important as they should last a lifetime. We will provide extensive check -ups for your children which will include orthodontic screening and help them with their oral hygiene. Professional teeth cleaning is also available for children.
Dr Bravis is regularly asked to visit local schools and nurseries in order to teach little ones about looking after their teeth. If you would like Dr Bravis to visit your local school, please contact us on 0208 398 9466 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and she would be happy to assist.
